For years, Bartender has been a utility you needed to keep your menu bar in check. Hundreds of thousands of Mac users trust Bartender, and it’s one of the first apps they install.

Over time, Bartender has evolved into something more than just cleanup. With the introduction of Bartender Bar, Triggers, and Widgets, you can now have your perfect menu bar, with your own custom items.

We think it’s time for the next chapter of Bartender’s evolution.

Today, we’re announcing Bartender Pro.

Bartender Pro is a new option for users who want to take things up a notch. Our vision for Bartender is to not only keep your bar clean, but to expand what the bar, and your Mac, is capable of.

The first tool included in Bartender Pro is Top Shelf. It’s a powerful new way to interact with the notch, bringing common utilities into what used to simply be wasted space.

Top Shelf supports file storage, clipboard management, AirDropping, widgets, and a suite of live activities just like your iPhone.

There’s widgets for live weather, both for home and away, gorgeous controls for Apple Music, Spotify, and more, and a glanceable calendar to keep you focused.

Live activities give you a quick heads up of what’s happening, from running Claude Code or Codex sessions and agents, to meeting warnings with a simple click to join.

Top Shelf seamlessly interacts with Bartender, getting out of the way when you expand your bar, and making sure no items are tucked away behind it - just like the real notch.

We’ll be continuing to add more to Top Shelf, and to the wider Bartender Pro suite, over the coming months and years. You can check out Top Shelf here.

Bartender Pro is available now for $15/year. It includes Bartender 6, all future upgrades for the duration of your subscription, and the full Bartender Pro suite.

Bartender Pro expands on the core Bartender experience, but we’re not taking away one-time purchases - we know subscriptions aren’t for everyone so we’re giving you the choice.

Bartender 6 will remain available for $20, and Mega Supporter still offers the same lifetime access it always has, but now with Bartender Pro included too.

For those of you who simply want menu bar management, nothing changes - you’ll still get the same updates, and the same features, with no requirement to subscribe.
