This is the test build of Bartender 2 with macOS Sierra compatibility.

Notes: You may have to rearrange items in the menu bar again to your desired location by ⌘ dragging.

In the previous version items were more likely to stop responding to Bartenders commands and not appear in the Bartender Bar, or remain on screen. This should be fixed.

We believe we have found an issue in OS X that is causing the floating/missing items and are trying to work around it, this release has our second attempt at this.

Some users experienced workflow issues with other apps, as Bartender would still have keyboard focus when trying to enter text, we have added an option to disable search for those users.

This will show items in the menu bar that are in the Bartender Bar, but not hidden items, and will not hide the left hand app menu, this means a dock icon is also not displayed for Bartender.

Some users have experienced Bartender Bar items not showing, or remaining after the Bartender Bar closes, we have made changes to prevent this.

Internal notifications of the menu bar autohiding have changed with OS X 10.11.2, this update handles the change.

The previous version would prompt some users to install the System Component after each reboot when they had SIP disabled, this should be fixed. We have also added in a check box to not show this message again.

Some users were still experiencing a white Bartender Bar, this should now be fixed.

If a user had keyboard navigation setup to navigate all controls in System Preferences the cog would display a blue highlight. This has been fixed.

The previous version left some debug messages in, these have been removed.

We have made many other small bug fixes and improvements.

In the previous version the custom icon image would not scale correctly, this has been fixed.

In the previous version, if Bartender was set to launch at login, it was possible to loose the settings for system items from System Preferences, you would then need to reset these in System Preferences. This has been fixed.

Some users have struggled with licensing Bartender 2, we have improved the messages displayed when entering licenses.

In the previous version the helper could fail to install due to OS X believing there was a code signing issue with the Helper, this has been fixed.

In previous versions it was possible for the Dock icon to remain visible, after displaying the full menu bar, this has been fixed.

Bartender was picking up an old preference for menu bar transparency and making the Bartender Bar white, this has been fixed.

In previous versions of Bartender 2 using your own image for the Bartender icon would render them as template images (black/white) and alpha, we have changed this back to the old behaviour displaying color etc.

In the previous version the timeout for the helper was too short, and it would request to reinstall after each boot, we have increased the timeout and retry attempts. This has been improved from the previous test build.

Bartender 2 added a gap to the right of the menu bar when Notification Center was hidden, this is to maintain the default gap at the screen edge, a lot of users liked not having this gap, so this is now a preference under Appearance. This setting is now saved correctly.

Notification Center could not be moved left/right in the Bartender Bar, this has been fixed.

Bartender would prompt the user to install its system component repeatedly when SIP is partially disabled, but file system access was still restricted, this has been fixed.

If OS X had been setup to not have separate spaces on each screen bartender would have an exception on launch. This has been fixed.
